What Qualifications Will I Need To Have To Become A Plumber?
There are numerous paths that can lead you to being a plumber through a college course, an apprenticeship, working towards this role, applying directly.
If you go through the college route you can find a college course which may help you to find a trainee position within a company. The courses include level 2 and 3 diploma in plumbing and domestic heating, T level in building services engineer for construction.
The entry requirements for these courses are receiving 2 or more GCSE at grade 9 to 3 which is equivalent to a A* to DO for a level 2 course. For a level 3 course you will need 4 or 5 GCSE, which also includes english and math for a T level.

However you can also go down the apprenticeship route, you can apply for an advanced apprenticeship in plumbing and domestic heating. This can lead up to 4 years . You will need 5 GCSEs including math and english. As you can see there are many ways to become a plumber. You just have to find which is best for you!
